“Slopey Rock” Margaret River
It’s been a while since I posted, been really busy recently trying to get ready to start getting some retail outlets going.
Anyway time for a new image I think, here’s a picture I’ve been working on for a while now from a place called “Slopey Rock” in Margaret River.
Slopey rock was introduced to us by some friends with a property just outside Margaret River and is part of a collection we are putting together for them to display in their house.
P.S. Added another version with a vignette, I think it gives the image a bit more impact …

Thanks Sandy,
Welcome to the blog
Great shots Dave ,
Hard to tell which I like better , but think I prefer the look of the vintiaged
Hi Dave,
I like the non vignette version better. Great photo as usual.

Dave, good to see you back, vignette wins that contest. Best of luck with the retail outlets, great if you can pull it off, you’ve got some good stuff. So when do your courses start?
Thanks for the comments guys, still can’t decide myself between the two.
My desktop image is currenlty a compromise between the two which seems to work pretty well.
go the vignette, nice image Dave, what was the name of that sharpening program you use again? Do you rate it over photoshop?
Thanks Christian.
The sharpening program is called Photokit Sharpener, it’s a Photoshop plugin. I find it much better than Photoshops native sharpening, easier to use (it does all the thinking for you), very flexible and much less prone to halos.
